Woodford Bowls Club members enjoyed christmas lunch at the D’Aguilar Hotel in appreciation of the hotels ongoing support.

Andrew Powell MP presented Woodford Bowls Club a cheque for $60,817 to upgrade the lighting for the green. The cheque was accepted by Mike Wheeler.

After marching in today’s parade, Woodford Bowls Club members gathered on the green for a friendly game to raise money for Legacy.

Congatulations to all involved raising $200 for Legacy.

Big thankyou to all the women and men who contributed to tthe green renovations on Monday 19th December. Hopefully it will come back bigger and better in the new year.

Another fantastic day with 15 teams taking to the rink trying to be the first recipient of the Hazel Jean Auer Memorial Bowls Trophy. Thanks to sponsors on the day Raymond Auer, Nick Ball and Colin Armstrong. The end result was a tie, with both teams being added to the trophy.

Congratulations to Lewis and James Schuilaz on winning the Zone Men’s Pairs at Pine Rivers on Sunday 19th September. The reward for a long, hard fought day of competition is representing the Zone at the State Titles at Mackay in October. Well done.

Woodford Open Fours sponsored by The Woodford Hotel on Saturday 18th of September was a great success. Teams from Roma, Geebung, Pine Rivers, Woodford, Caboolture Lakes, Narangba and Banyo filled the green for great bowls and friendship.

Prizes presented by Lewis, Allison and Ange from the Woodford Hotel.

Overall winners were Peter King’s Woodford team.

Runners-up were Lester Bechly’s Kilcoy team.

Third place was taken out by Peter Gaskell’s Woodford team.

Due to the latest Covid-19 Lockdown restrictions Seafood Day, Saturday 8th August has been cancelled. The next scheduled Seafood Day, (fingers crossed) will proceed on Sunday 10th October. Stay home, Stay safe and polish your bowls ready for your next roll.
