Great weather for another fantastic Open Fours day on Saturday 21st September, with 16 teams filling the green with friendship and great bowls.  Thank you to all those who assisted with the running of the day to make it a huge success.

Overall Winners were Barry Gough’s team from Caboolture Lakes.

Runners-Up were Lester Bechley’s team from Kilcoy.

Third Place went to Tony Gray’s team from Kilcoy.

First round winners were Andy Cochran’s team from Roma.

Second round winners were Mark’s team the Bribie Boozers.

Third round winners were Geoff Gees team from Nanango.

Great weather greeted 64 bowlers who took to the green for 2 games of bowls, broken only to enjoy a feed of King Prawns followed by fish, chips and salad for lunch.

 

 

 

Sunday 16th June saw 19 bowlers make the trip to Mapleton for the first leg of the 25th annual challenge.  With the help of a couple Mapleton bowlers, a fantastic afternoon of two bowl triples was enjoyed by all.  Two rinks had draws, while the overall score for the day ended up 126 shots apiece.  We look forward to the return visit in October for another afternoon of two bowl triples and hopefully regaining the trophy for Woodford.

 

14 teams enjoyed the first Seafood Day for 2019 on the 11th of May.  This offered the opportunity for those that work during the week the chance to enjoy the seafood delights, friendship and some good bowls.  A great day was had by all. Prizes were presented by mens President Aaron Gain.

The VEE DUB Club members enjoyed an afternoon of barefoot bowls, afternoon tea and beverages on Saturday the 4th May.  The members also returned Sunday morning to take advantage of the monthly breakfast by Margaret and Ralph.

Sunday the 28th of April saw members of the D’Aguilar Pub Social Club take to the green for an afternoon of fun and frivolity.

Super fund raising effort for the Queensland Heart/Lung Transplant Support Group. Great weather, a full rink of enthusiastic bowlers from the railway with support from our club bowlers.  Well done to all those involved.

Come and join us for a relaxing afternoon of bowls, fun and frivolity or maybe a couple refreshing ales after attending your local commemorative service on Thursday 25th of April. All monies raised on the day will be donated to Legacy.
