Sunday the 19th of September the weather gods smiled on us as 14 teams took to the green to contest the Mens Birthday Fours. Teams endured a fantastic morning tea and a marvellous lunch as well as playing three games of bowls. Special mention to Byron Ross who brought a team from Coolangatta for his 43rd consecutive birthday fours. Eventual winners were Alan Thorpe’s team from Bribie Island with Geoff Jones’ Woodford team Runners-Up. Mens B’Day Fours

Sunday 22nd of October saw the second leg of our annual challenge against Caboolture Memorial. Â Woodford won on the day to retain the shield but unfortunately this years games were the last due to the redevelopment of the RSL complex in Caboolture that will see the closure of the bowls club.

Patrons will have noticed two new 5000 gallon water tanks situated at the carpark end of the clubhouse. Â The tanks and renewed guttering are installed as part of our grant and are located here on the advice of our plumber and generous supporter Paul Burnage Plumbing and Gas. Â Bollards will be installed around the tanks when the plumbing is completed.
